Easy Chicken Mozzarella Wraps

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 8 oz fresh mozzarella, sliced
  • 1/2 cup marinara sauce, divided
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
  • Optional: Balsamic glaze for drizzling

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, toss chicken breasts with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place chicken breasts on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through and internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  4. Let chicken cool slightly, then shred or slice into bite-sized pieces.
  5. Lightly warm the tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave for a few seconds to make them more pliable.
  6. Spread 2 tablespoons of marinara sauce evenly over each tortilla.
  7. Top with shredded or sliced chicken, mozzarella slices, and fresh basil.
  8. Fold in the sides of the tortilla, then tightly roll up from the bottom.
  9. For a warm, melty wrap, toast them in a dry skillet for 2-3 minutes per side or bake them in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 5-7 minutes.
  10. Drizzle with balsamic glaze (optional) and serve immediately.

Notes

For extra juicy chicken, brine the chicken breasts in a saltwater solution for 30 minutes before cooking. Store leftover wraps in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat in a skillet or microwave. Experiment with different seasonings and sauces to customize the flavor.
