  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 slices of your favorite bread ciabatta, sourdough, or brioche
  • 1 cup chopped romaine lettuce
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese optional

  • Grill pan or skillet
  • Medium bowl
  • whisk
  • knife

  • Measuring spoons
  • Measuring cups
  • Panini press (optional)
  • spatula

Method

  1. Preheat a grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Drizzle the chicken breasts with olive oil and season with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Grill or pan-fry the chicken for about 6-8 minutes per side, or until cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  4. Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing or shredding.
  5. In a medium bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, Parmesan cheese, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, and Worcestershire sauce.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Adjust the lemon juice and Parmesan to your preference.
  7. Spread a generous amount of Caesar dressing on each slice of bread.
  8. Layer the bottom slices with romaine lettuce, sliced or shredded chicken, and optional Parmesan cheese and croutons.
  9. Top with the remaining bread slices and serve immediately.
  10. For a warm sandwich, you can lightly toast the assembled sandwich in a panini press or skillet.

Notes

For best results, lightly toast the bread before assembling the sandwich to prevent sogginess. Use freshly grated Parmesan cheese in the dressing for a richer flavor. You can add other toppings like bacon or tomato slices for extra flavor and texture. Store leftover ingredients separately to maintain freshness.
