Method
- Preheat a grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat.
- Drizzle the chicken breasts with olive oil and season with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Grill or pan-fry the chicken for about 6-8 minutes per side, or until cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing or shredding.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, Parmesan cheese, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Adjust the lemon juice and Parmesan to your preference.
- Spread a generous amount of Caesar dressing on each slice of bread.
- Layer the bottom slices with romaine lettuce, sliced or shredded chicken, and optional Parmesan cheese and croutons.
- Top with the remaining bread slices and serve immediately.
- For a warm sandwich, you can lightly toast the assembled sandwich in a panini press or skillet.
Notes
For best results, lightly toast the bread before assembling the sandwich to prevent sogginess. Use freshly grated Parmesan cheese in the dressing for a richer flavor. You can add other toppings like bacon or tomato slices for extra flavor and texture. Store leftover ingredients separately to maintain freshness.
